Dr h.c. Klaus Schormann has been the President of the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) since 1993. This position was jointly held with the President of the International Biathlon Union until 1998 when the two sports separated into self-governing bodies. Within the international Olympic movement, Dr h.c. Schormann has been a member and coordinator of the IOC’s working groups on Culture and Olympic Education since 1994.

Mr Sisniega is a current Vice President. As a former pentathlete, Mr. Sisniega competed in three consecutive Olympic Games (80, 84, 88) achieving best individual rank (7th), and best team result (5th) at Los Angeles in 1984, and was Pan American Champion in 1990. Mr Sisniega also competed at the international level in swimming, fencing and triathlon. Mr Samaranch has held the position of First Vice President since 1996 and has been a member of the UIPM Board since 1984. Mr Samaranch is on the IOC Executive Board since 2012 and is a Member of the Spanish Olympic Committee. Mr. Bouzou was the UIPM Secretary General for 15 years before being elected as UIPM Vice President. He is a highly accomplished and respected Pentathlete having competed in 4 consecutive Olympic Games (1980, 84, 88, 92) receiving a bronze medal in the 84 teams event, and was crowned Modern Pentathlon World Champion in 1987. Mr. Bouzou holds a Diploma in Sports Law and Economics from the University of Limoges (FRA). He is President of the World Olympians Association (WOA) and Peace & Sport and is the current Sports Advisor for HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Mr. Choi is a current UIPM Vice President holding this position since 1996. He has been a Member of the Executive board since 1984, when Pentathlon and Biathlon where one. Mr. Choi is also Vice-President of the Korean Modern Pentathlon Federation and the founder and current Secretary General of the Asian Modern Pentathlon and Biathlon Confederation. He competed in the Modern Pentathlon competition at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Mr Aminov is a Lawyer by profession, and graduated from the Law department of Moscow State University. Currently he is the Chairman of the Board of Interregional Post Bank and the co-owner of “NefteTransService” Ltd. (Transoil corporation), the major partner of the Russian Railways JSC. Mr Aminov is also the President of the Russian Modern Pentathlon Federation.

Shiny Fang, former athlete of Synchronizing swimming and Gymnastics Aerobics, head coach, international judge, professor of Sun Yat-Sen University (1999-2006), and chief instructor for a series of educational programs. She has been involved in sports industry and international relations since 2004, and part time responsible for UIPM International Affairs since 2008. As Vice Competition Manager for 2008 Olympic Games (2007-2008), and Competition Manager for 2010 Asian Games (2009-2010), she has been awarded as “Excellence of the Year”, “Organizing Proficient” and “Young Expert of Administration”. She was elected Vice President of International Cheer Union (2010-2014-2018). She is currently member of the ASOIF Sports Development and Education Consultative Group.

Mr Helmick is the current Treasurer moving from Vice President, a positon he held since 2000. Mr Helmick has been involved in Modern Pentathlon first as an athlete competing from 1976-1982 then in various roles within UIPM since 1993. Mr Helmick provides invaluable experience in UIPM relationships with sponsors and event hospitality. Professionally, Mr Helmick is Chief Executive Officer of a property refurbishment and sales company and currently sits in the Board of Directors of several companies.

Mr. Peciak was elected Sport Director during Congress in Buenos Aires. He was Olympic Champion in 1976 in Montreal and many times World Champion individual and team. He participated in 10 Olympics as an athlete and coach. He was elected twice as the best athlete in Poland among all sports 1977 and 1981. He was also service as the Vice President for Polish Olympic Committee 1984-1986. Janusz Peciak holds a Diploma of Master Degree in Physical Education in Warsaw.

Mr Dawe has been involved with Modern Pentathlon since 1962 originally as a competitor. He was Team Manager of the Great Britain Team at the Seoul, Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games. He has been Vice Chairman of Pentathlon GB since 1996 and N.O.C. Member since 1998; He was a Member of the British Olympic Association Executive Board 2010 - 2012. Professor Fabio Pigozzi is the Chairman of the Medical Committee having been elected in 1996. Prof. Pigozzi has a degree is Medical Sciences and specialises in Cardiology and Sports Science. Prof. Pigozzi has held several high profile Sport Science positions at leading Universities and has written over 200 scientific publications. Prof. Pigozzi is also a member of the IOC Medical Commission and the Health Medical and Research Committee of WADA amongst other notable positions.

Mr Awad was one of the first generation athletes in Egypt who started pentathlon in 1978. Mr Awad graduated from Helwan University with Bachelor Degree in Physical Education in June 1982. He received an international Coaching Diploma recognized by the IOC Olympic Solidarity 1992 to be qualified as general coach for the sport of Modern Pentathlon. Mr Awad obtained the license of International Judge for the five events since 1990 and was was honored to be a member of the first Egyptian National team for modern pentathlon who took part in the Olympic Games 1984 at Los Angeles, USA . Mr Awad was the first Egyptian Pentathlon Coach who works in the Egyptian federation since 1987 till now.

Mr. Guemeih is a current Executive Board Member and President of the African Confederation of Modern Pentathlon since 1993. Mr. Guemeih was an accomplished equestrian athlete achieving many national awards. He also competed as an athlete in Egypt?s first National Team and retired in 1979. From this he began his administrative role with the Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon. Mr. Pennell is a current Executive Board Member and President of the Oceania Confederation of Modern Pentathlon. His involvement in Pentathlon began in 1953 and from that time he has performed many tasks for various organizations including President of Victorian Pentathlon and in 1978 was appointed Vice-President for Oceania. His involvement also included the running of the 1985 Modern Pentathlon World Championships held in Australia, and the 2002 World Junior Championships Mr. Pennell also played a significant role during the Modern Pentathlon competition of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
